Raymond “Ray” E. Neuhauser, 79, of Wooster passed on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at his residence.

He was born October 21, 1943 in Columbus, OH the son of Robert and Nellie Patricia Berardo Neuhauser. On November, 8, 1985 he married Kathy Seely. She survives.

Ray proudly served his country with the United States Air Force.

He retired from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office in 2003 after 18 years of dedicated service. While there, he graduated from the F.B.I. Academy and went on to teach law enforcement courses throughout the state of Ohio. Ray had a great love for woodworking. In his retirement, this love led him to start a small business creating personalized laser-etched wooden boxes with his best friend, Bob. In his younger days, Ray was an avid bowler, participating in leagues at Triway Lanes.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Kathy, are his children Ray Neuhauser, Roberta Mazur, Nina Mora, and Candice LeDoux; 11 grandchildren; and sisters Mae King and Robin Neuhauser; a brother Robert Neuhauser.

Preceded in death by his parents and sisters Roberta and Rebecca Neuhauser.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 7:00PM at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., in Wooster with Pastor Bob Halfhill officiating.

Friends will be received 1-hour prior to the start of the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare for the wonderful care given to Ray.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
