Maralyn Jeanette Franks, 87, of Wooster died on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Wooster Community Hospital

She was born July 21, 1935 in Wayne County to Walter and Mary Gallagher Wohlford.  On July 31, 1993, she married Raymond J. Franks.  He preceded her in death in 2005.

Maralyn had worked for many years at Freedlander’s as well as Ashland University and Modern Finance in Ashland.  She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #92 in Ashland.  Maralyn enjoyed collecting Mickey Mouse, mice, enjoyed watching Disney movies, the birds and squirrels in her yard, and being in nature. She loved her family and spending time together.

She is survived by her sons Mark (Jenny) Haas of Norton and Michael (Kim Porter) Haas of Wooster; grandchildren Nathaniel (Abbey) Haas, Rachel Haas, James (Tiffany) Porter and Micheal (Sabrina) Porter; great-grandchildren C.J. Porter, Spencer Porter, Landon Porter and Gavin Porter.

Along with her husband, Maralyn was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 3:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.

The family will greet friends following the service.
