Emma B. Hale, 82, of Wooster passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at her residence.

She was born September 18, 1940 to Leonard and Clara McElroy Stokes in Marshall, Arkansas. On August 10, 1965, she married Donald Charles Hale. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2020.

Emma worked as a waitress at TJ’s Restaurant in Wooster for 25 years before retiring to Port Richie, Florida.

She is survived by her children Kathy (Richard) Kehner of Randolph and Don (Natalie) Hale of Wooster; grandchildren Rich, Leah, and Rebecca Kehner, and Katlyn and Allison Hale; her sister Mary (J.C.) Thompson; and her brother Jimmy (Connie Stokes-Ray) Stokes.

In addition to her husband, Donald, Emma was preceded in death by her parents; brothers E. L. Byrom, Jerry Stokes, Johnny Stokes, Leonard Stokes, Jr.; and her sister JoAnn Myers.

There will be no services.
