Clarence “Clem” Leroy Sparr, 83, of Wooster died on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.
He was born December 30, 1938 in Wayne County to Kenneth and Doris Varnes Sparr. On March 16, 1958, he married Alberta Jane Carr. She survives.
Clem had worked for many years as a mechanic for the Wayne County Highway Department. He was a member of Church of the Cross United Methodist Church. Clem enjoyed fishing, hunting, jigsaw puzzles, plants and gardening. He especially loved travelling and he and the family have spent over 60 years going to Hastings, Ontario Canada to fish and spend time together. Clem was a handy man who enjoyed fixing things.
Along with his wife, Jane, Clem is survived by his children Joy (Michael Homer) Zemrock of Loudonville, Douglas (Laurie) Sparr of Wooster, Jenny (Keith) Mohler of Killbuck and Dan (Heather) Sparr of Wooster; grandchildren Abigail Zemrock, Caleb Zemrock, Caitlin (Josh) Denney and Cassidy (Isaac Gallion) Mohler; brother Merle Sparr of Wooster; nieces and nephews and his beloved feline companion Nikki.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers William and Francis Sparr.
Friends will be received on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 4:00-6:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
There will be no service.
