Susan “Sue” Marie Foll, 72, of Wooster passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Ohio’s Hospice Lifecare.

She was born January 13, 1950 in Cincinnati, OH to Robert E. and Ruth Pfeiffer Mersmann.  On July 1, 1972 she married William “Bill” Foll, Jr. He survives.

Sue worked as a nurse for Cleveland Public Health, St. Mary’s School and Wayne County School Career Center.  She loved playing bridge, was an excellent cook and enjoyed reading murder mysteries.  Sue helped Clare Adel Schreiber with Building Healthy Families. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

In addition to her husband, Bill of 50 years she is survived by her children William (Sara) “Buddy” Foll III of Wooster and Theresa (Kelly) Keho of Akron; grandchildren Richard Scott, Jr., Nathan (Myranda) Scott, Emily Foll, Terrence Keho and Lisa (John) Romero; sisters Mary (Steven) Bergman and Margaret Mersmann and nieces Allison Bergman and Caitlin (Daniel) Ellis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved feline Tiki.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  Inurnment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Contributions may be directed to Ohio’s Lifecare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.

  5. So very sorry to hear this Bill and family. I truly regret not scheduling a visit on one of my Ashland soccer weekends. Sue was such a great friend to my Mom and to me after Mom passed away in January. I can remember their bridge days in Wooster, that then became ladies weekends filled with shopping and bridge as Mom and Sandy moved. I am sure they are playing bridge everyday!!!

    Sue has been my forever friend since we were in high school together at Mother of Mercy High, and throughout college in the same Nursing Program at Mt St Joseph in Cincinnati. I will keep her in my heart forever. My deepest sympathy and wishes for your comfort and peace.
