  1. Rose, Karl Jr. and Keith,

I was saddened to hear of Karl’s passing. He was a major contributor to the realm of poultry science and singularly facilitated turkey research in so many different ways. I always appreciated his significant service to the Poultry Science Association and together with Wayne, they put OARDC on the poultry research map.

  12. A hole exists in the world today. Karl filled that hole for 85 years. And in that 85 years he stepped forward to fill the gap to which Ezekiel referred. When God called, Karl answered. Now, he is in the presence of God, and that gives me peace. Save a place for me, brother; I look forward to playing heavenly golf with you and hearing about turkeys again. Don’t worry about those you left here; God is taking care of us. Enjoy the peace God is now giving you.
