Evelyn Rosalie (Simison) Roseler, 93, was the best wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend anyone could ever have in life.  She went to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on January 19, 2023 at The Avenue nursing home in Wooster, OH. She will be remembered and missed by all who experienced her loving, gentle, and generous spirit.  Evelyn was born June 1, 1929 near Spring Valley, OH.  She graduated as a Registered Nurse from Christ Hospital, Cincinnati in 1951 and spent the majority of her life raising her family in Wellington, OH. She accepted Jesus as her Savior and was born again in August 1972. Her life was evidenced by her faithful prayers by which many will see eternal benefits.  “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants” Psalm 116:15.

She is remembered as someone who gave of herself to help others. She loved the outdoors, camping, gardening, and knitting and cooking for family and others. Her love of animals was from being raised on the family farm. It was fun for her entering items into the Lorain County Fair.  Evelyn was an active member while attending Church of the Open Door, Elyria, Ohio, and First Baptist Church, Wellington, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Robert C. Roseler; her parents, Ormand K. and Joanna Marie Simison, her siblings and in-laws, Dorothy (Eldon) Winder, Harold (Dorothy) Simison, Lawrence (Mary) Simison, a granddaughter Kristen Lewandowski, and a great grand-daughter, Nora Hall. She is survived by her children, David (Karen) Roseler, Daniel Roseler, Debbie (David) Lewandowski, and Dwight (Vicki) Roseler, and  grand  children, Katie (Marshall) Cade, Ryan (Alicia) Roseler, Kimberly (Blake) Barnhart, Joshua (Julie) Roseler, Ian (Samantha) Lewandowski, Emily (Lee) Campbell, and Benjamin Lewandowski, Jennifer (Joshua) Placeway,  Sarah (Brandon) Hall, Jonathan (Moriah) Roseler, Anna (Bradley) Shearer, and 12 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

  3. To all the Roseler families. Lynn and I, along with various members of the Hall clan, here in Australia, give thanks to the Lord for your mother (and no doubt to your father) for the person she was. Without her, we here over the Pacific, would never have had the opportunity to enjoy the pleasures and interactions with the Roseler clan that we have variously had over the past 53 years. Our sincere condolences on her passing into glory. Her love and definitely her smile and kindness will be missed if we visit Ohio again.
