Susanne Coblentz, 83, of Wooster passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at West View Healthy Living.

She was born August 25, 1939 in Millersburg the daughter of Raymond G. and Mary Hoops Shaffer. On May 1, 1987 she married Douglas H. Coblentz.

Susanne was a 1957 graduate of Big Prairie High School. She had worked as an operator at United Sprint, where she retired in 1985 after 38 years of service. Susanne enjoyed gardening and animals of all kinds. She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Surviving is a niece Ginny (Rick) Becker of Wooster; a nephew John (Karen) Shaffer of Fredericksburg; her brother Thomas G. Shaffer of Wooster; her sister-in-law Shirley Hackett; her brother-in-law Ronald (Laura) Coblentz and her special friend and caregiver Pat Donihue of Wooster.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas, and her parents.

Private family services will be held.
