Wayne E. Leach, 66, of Wooster passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

He was born September 7, 1956 in Camp Pendleton, CA, the son of John C. and Betty McClellan Leach.

Wayne had worked in production at Contours and Magni-Power and was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Medina. He attended the First Church of God in Wooster. Wayne loved music, going for coffee, and spending time with his family.

Wayne is survived by his children Stacy (Jason) Hershberger and John A. Leach – both of Wooster; grandchildren Alexi Leach, Kacie Hershberger, Kylie Hershberger, and Codey Hershberger; and siblings Allen (Qing) Leach of Columbus and Carla (Mike) Raudebaugh of Wooster; and his devoted and loving companion Theresa Green of Wooster.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 11:00AM at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Pastor Arnie Kaufman officiating. Burial will follow at Wooster Cemetery.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691

  1. Mu family grew up with the leach’s and had the best childhood ever the memories are full of happiness pure happiness. They actually bought our childhood home and John lived in it until his passing I’m told. My heart goes out to all of you. My the memories you have are as wonderful as my family has of him .   7. I knew Wayne well while working @ Contours Inc. then The Bekaert Corp. Wayne was a creative person as he freely gave ideas for improvement. I have many nice memories of Wayne.

  8. I am sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. One Sunday my Mom fell in the First Church of God parking lot and Wayne was right there to help get her up. He was always so kind to her and I. My prayers to the family.

  17. Wayne was so much fun. He would pick on me when came in Bob Evans when I worked there as a kid. Years later see him at Green leaf. He will be missed. My condolences 🙏
