Kenny “Swamp” Lee Martin, 68, of Shreve passed away Friday, February 24, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on September 19, 1954 the son of Kenneth W. and Evelyn I. VanSickle Martin.

Kenny had worked as a heavy equipment operator and as a mechanic. He liked cooking and enjoyed doing things outdoors especially hunting and fishing. Kenny loved animals not only to hunt and eat but to enjoy as companions. He enjoyed spoiling and dog sitting for Marley, Bella, Dinky and Olive.  Also, had a special place in his heart for his granddaughter’s hamster, Gus. He enjoyed feeding and watching the birds at his feeders.

Kenny is survived by his daughter Jennifer (Luke) Reynolds; granddaughter Addison Reynolds; sister-in-law Amy (Mac) Abbott-Cole; nephews Tyler (Andrea) and Benjamin (Brittney) Martin; great niece and nephew Burke and Wilder Martin; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother James A. Martin and a granddaughter Kennedy L. Reynolds.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 6, 2023 at Ripley Church of Christ, 12298 Co Hwy 330, Big Prairie, OH at 6:00 PM with Tom Benter officiating.

Friends will be received from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral cost.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
