Lawrence J. Rouhier, Jr., 71, of Wooster passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Ohio’s Hospice Lifecare.
He was born in on July 6, 1951 the son of Lawrence J. and Shirley Fockler Rouhier. On May 25, 1974 he married Teresa A. Vaccaro. She survives.
Lawrence worked in the water pollution control department for the City of Wooster for 30 years, retiring in 2010. He was a member of the Knight’s of Columbus for 46 years. Lawrence loved reading, golfing and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Chris (Sarah) Rouhier of Pittsburgh; sisters Barb (Dave) Utrata and Linda Tucker; brothers Ed (Karen) Rouhier and Ron Rouhier.
Lawrence was preceded in death his parents and sister Karen Reutter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster. A Knight’s of Columbus service will be held at 10:45 AM at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice Lifecare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.

I was privileged to work with Larry many years and enjoyed playing golf with him many times as well!

My sympathy to the family! Larry was in our first grade class together at Franklin Grade School. And every grade following until we graduated. Larry was a regular at our class monthly breakfast at Buehlers Cafe. He had a great memory of details. He will be greatly missed!
Sorry for Larry’s passing. He was a great guy. Larry and Ron Besancon had a great time working the kitchen for bingo, he will be missed.
The Knights of Columbus has lost 2 of the best Frenchmen, B.Ronald Besancon and now Larry Rouhier. They were both super guys, good cooks, good friends, good Catholics and will be missed by their family and many friends. Bob voyage!
We are so very sorry to learn of Larry’s passing. You were both so kind to my mother when she lived beside you on College Avenue. She often spoke of your family’s loving friendship.
