My sincere love and condolences to you Carol, and the Family…….
Mr. Homes (“Bob”) you were definitely one of my “TOP of the LINE” favorite teachers at Northwestern. You had the niftiest way for making the students feel GREAT!
I’ll never forget your great personality, and how you could always joke around, but also be concerned we learn, as well.

PLEASE: for “BOB”/MR HOLMES sake and the family read
    Ecclesiastics 3:1-2 & 1-10. There is a time…..

GOD BLESS YOU up there resting, and telling more great jokes!

  18. I was sorry to hear of Mr. Holmes’ passing. While I have not lived in Wayne County since 1970 I have visited often always hoping to run in to Mr. Holmes at a Northwestern football game or basketball game. It happened on a few occasions and Mr. Holmes was always so generous with his time. Always one of my favorite teachers and coaches. Rest in Peace.

  19. Carolyn and Mike, I know I’am a blast from the past! Danny Wakefield let me know of Bob’s passing! He was a well respected teacher and coach in the Northwestern community! When I first came to NW he was a breath of fresh air! I was new to the area and he knew the in’s and out’s! He became my defensive coordinator and truly depended on him! He always did a superb job! I’m so sorry for your loss of Bob!May he rest in peace!
