I was sorry to hear of Mr. Holmes’ passing. While I have not lived in Wayne County since 1970 I have visited often always hoping to run in to Mr. Holmes at a Northwestern football game or basketball game. It happened on a few occasions and Mr. Holmes was always so generous with his time. Always one of my favorite teachers and coaches. Rest in Peace.
