  4. Paula and family, I am truly in shock that this woman of God was such a brave warrior she fought for so many years to stay alive. It seems that so some of us gave up but she never stopped and I am blessed by having the privilege of knowing her loving her and serving Christ with her at Westwood Baptist. Her faith although challenged, was never ever gone. Always that beautiful sweet smile… Paula you are one of a kind! You are the kind of child, who really really honored her mother the way Jesus would have and yes he did through you! I know she will always be missed but I also know she didn’t die/pass away and you didn’t lose her … My sweet Ruth has moved home to
    Heaven,

  8. I thought of your mom a lot this summer. One hot hot hot day, I took advantage of our air conditioning and spent the day inside working on my Ancestry account. I’m so grateful for her genealogical work in the 80s that produced a history of the Sidle family. She did such amazing work. She initiated the Sidle reunion, which allowed us all to get better acquainted with family members. I know her last years were hard, yet she always remembered us at Christmas with a short note and card. I’ll be praying for you as you get used to a new normal, but I know she is in a far better place and healed of her earthly afflictions!

  10. Paula and family, my sincere condolences for the loss of Ruth. From the time I started teaching in the Triway district Ruth was always so kind. Having you in school and then your kids kept us in touch for many years. She had the ability to know just when a note or card in the mail, was the right time to lift someone’s spirit. Such a wonderful person to have known. Prayers for you and family. Dave and Nancy Handwerk

  13. Paula and Family,
Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved mother. Ruth had many gifts and one in particular was the gift of writing and sending post cards. I was the recipient of many and enjoyed every single hand written note. I have them all! She was so kind and she enjoyed reading about my adventures as a teacher leading students around the world. I remember visiting Ruth years ago at her apartment and meeting you. I admired you so much for your devotion and unconditional love taking care of your mama. Peace be with you Paula and God bless you and your family.
