Dennis Raley Cummings, 68, of Wooster died on Friday, May 12, 2023 at his home.

He was born May 15, 1954 in Logan, West Virginia to Paul and Carlie Flowers Cummings.  On July 16, 1977 he married Sheila A. Engel.  She preceded him in death in 2018.

Dennis has worked as an assembler at Akron Brass for over 20 years.  He was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, smoking meat, being outdoors and watching wrestling.  Dennis was very active in the Masonic Lodges as well asl Scottish Rite.  He had attended Cooley Avenue Church of God in Cleveland.  Dennis was an amazing father, brother and person who enjoyed being willing and able to help people.  He was loving, giving and supportive.

He is survived by his son Jordon Cummings of Wooster; siblings Sharon Greene of North Ridgeville, Charlotte Whitten of Griffithsville, WV, Huey (Marilyn) Cummings of Sumerco, WV and Ronnie (Sheila) Cummings of Alkol, WV along with many nieces and nephews.

Along with his wife, Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 12:00 PM-2:00PM.  A Masonic service and funeral will follow at 2:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.

Interment will be on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Orchard Hills Memory Gardens in Yawkey, WV.

  1. Our heart goes out to our nephew Jordon, and Dennis’s family and friends. He was a great husband to my sister Shiela, as well as a father, brother-in-law, and a great person in general. We love you, and you will always be in our hearts and memories! You are now in the arms of our Lord, and with Sheila once again,❤️ with eternal sunshine and calm seas! Praying for your family and friends for Gods to protect and guide them. You will always be part of some of the best memories that myself and our great gang of friends had so many years.   4. Dennis lived a life that most people could ever want. He was married to a wonderful woman for over 40 years and raised an amazing son. He surrounded himself with friends and family that thought a lot of him. I’m sure your beautiful wife was there to meet you in heaven and, I’m sure you were smiling from ear to ear when you saw her. Even though you will be sorely missed. I know we will all see you again. Rest in peace, dear friend.
