Gary L. Kennedy, 74, of Wooster died on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at his residence after a nine-year battle with cancer.

He was born October 3, 1948 in Morgantown WV to Conrad and Elva Snyder Kennedy.  On May 27, 1989, he married Roberta L. Furno.  She survives.

Gary graduated from Wooster High School in 1966.  He worked at AutoZone and drove bus for Triway High School Athletic events.

He will be deeply missed by his family.

Along with his wife, Gary is survived by his son, Michael Kennedy of Wooster and his father Conrad Kennedy of Wooster.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 5:00-8:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.

Private funeral services will be held with burial in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

  1. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Gary. The Kennedy Family was always very kind and supportive to me as a teacher. My heartfelt sympathy to Roberta, Michael, and family.

  2. Our hearts and prayers go out Conrad, Roberta and Michael. Gary was full of life and was always making us laugh, or cracking himself up. His big smile and heart will be missed.

  3. Think of him every time we drive pass the old Reds his favorite place to dance! So light on his feet. Such a good guy. Forever in our hearts!! Prayers for the family!
