Thelma Jean Rowe, 72, of Wooster entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

She was born August 24, 1950 in Prichard, WV to Silas P. and Dulcie Lowe Adkins.

Thelma was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, fishing, collecting roosters, windchimes and antiques.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children William (Kristy) Rowe of Sterling, Vernon (Dawn) Rowe of Wooster, Angela Rowe of Wooster, Darrah (Isaac) Rowe of Akron and Jesse (Hilary) Rowe of Wooster; 28 grandchildren; 32 and one on the way great-grandchildren; siblings Estel (Connie) Frazier of Doylestown, Karen Adkins of Wooster, Ava Adkins of Lexington, KY and Mary Downey Silva of Marion, KY and numerous nieces and nephews.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; a son Chad Rowe and siblings James Frazier, Eunice Harmon, Verlin Adkins, Lois Frazier, Eltha (Everett) Adkins Noble and Paul Adkins.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 3:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Patricia Zarle officiating.

Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Contributions may be directed to the funeral home to help defray expenses.

  1. My sister suffered so long,she was one of the strongest women I’ve known.
    There’s many to meet her there,save me a place sis.
    Lord Jesus I thank you so much for lifting her and saving her from pain.

  3. I’m so glad I got to visit my Lovely Sister when I did. She’s gonna be missed more than anything. RIP My Beautiful Sister.
