Charles A. Raudebaugh, 88, of Wooster passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at West View Healthy Living.
He was born on January 17, 1935 in Wayne County, OH the son of Charles W. and Bessie Bersch Raudebaugh. On August 26, 1962 he married Helen L. Wasson. She survives.
Charles was a graduate from Smithville High School and attended the Ohio State University for 2 years. He served in the United States Army Reserves. Charles worked at Wooster Community Hospital as a boiler operator before retiring in 1999 and was a milk truck driver for 28 years. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church. Charles enjoyed traveling, cruises, antiques cars and spending time with his family and following all of their activities.
In addition to his wife, Helen he is survived by his children Charles Michael (Carla) Raudebaugh of Wooster and Debra Sue (Eric) Friedt of Stow; grandchildren Eric Michael Friedt of Stow, Cade (Lauren) Michael Raudebaugh of Wooster, Brian Tyler Friedt of Stow and Charles Joseph “Joey” Raudebaugh of Wooster; great-grandson Gatlin Stone Raudebaugh; sister Betty Jean Clark of South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Pastor Alan Nathan officiating. Burial will follow the service in Wooster Cemetery.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Lutheran Church, 4873 Cleveland Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
