Beverly J. Lehr, 92, of Wooster passed away Friday, July 14, 2023 at her daughter’s residence.

She was born on July 12, 1931 in Glenmont the daughter of Ralph and Cora McDowell Anderson.  On June 12, 1952, she married Ward K. Lehr.  He preceded her in death in 1997.

Beverly was a homemaker and had also worked as a switchboard operator for the College of Wooster.  She was a member of the Wooster Emblem Club # 374 and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters Lori (Matt) Chastain and LuAnn VanHorn; grandchildren Jami, Savannah, Cheyenne, Sage and Montana; great-grandchildren Raiden, Cameron, Cydney and Christina; sister in laws Barb Anderson and Pat Anderson; grand dogs Luna, Malo and Bella.

In addition to her husband Ward, she was preceded in death by son Mitch Lehr; daughter Lucinda “Cindy” Wickens; brothers Dick Anderson and Lynn Anderson.

The family would like to give a special thanks to hospice who were so amazing with her care.

A private graveside service will be held in Wooster Cemetery.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  9. Your Mom was awesome and her laugh! When my Mom, Aunt Sis and Bev would get together you could hear them laughing outside the house!! She was a bright spot in the family and will be missed. Love you all.

  10. I came to know Bev through Little League during her son, Mitch and my son enjoying the competition of baseball. I always
    enjoyed our affiliation as Emblem Club members and participated in many bouts of laughter and sharing stories. She was a dear.
    My condolences to her family as we all shall hold her in our hearts.
