Philip Chandler Holtz, age 80, of Wooster, Ohio, formerly of Gahanna and Marion, Ohio, died Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.
Philip was born to Willard C. Holtz and Emma Laverna Sally (Delk) Holtz on June 23, 1943, in Marion, Ohio. He graduated from Harding High School in 1962. He married the love of his life, Mary E. Holtz on May 5, 1963.
Phil retired from UPS where he had worked for 23 years. Following his retirement, he worked in various positions in Gahanna.
Surviving are his children, Tami (Thom) Black, Tracy (LuAnn) Holtz, and Carrie Holtz and eight grandchildren; his brothers Steve (Therese) Holtz and Jeffrey Holtz; and his sister Lisa (Donald) Hinton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Willard Holtz.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Parkview Christian Church, 1912 Burbank Road, Wooster. The family will receive friends and relatives 30 minutes prior to the service.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, is assisting the family.

I met Phil in the 70’s when I became a driver for UPS. He was always fun when we were together and he helped to mold me into management. Great guy and I am sure missed.
