William Thomas (Tom) Terwilliger, 75, of Wooster, Ohio, entered into his reward on July 21, 2023 surrounded by his family.

He was born June 30, 1948 to William and Ruth (Sickles) Terwilliger. His father died when he was a young child and his mother then married his stepfather, Leonard Peteri. He was a graduate of Triway High School and faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Wooster Fire Department in 1998 as City Fire Inspector, he worked as a substitute teacher in the Norwayne school system for 19 years. He was also an auctioneer and real estate agent for Landes and Landes locally as well as serving on the Wooster City School Board in the 1980’s.

He attended Southside Community Church in Wooster; he was a member of the Wooster American Legion Post 68, the Wooster Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Wooster Elks Lodge.

In 1988, he married Jan Stanfield, she survives. Along with his wife, he is survived by his children: Jeffrey (Carolyn) Terwilliger, Michelle (Micah) Lewis, Jodi (Joe) Kennedy, Jennifer Burgy , Amy (David) Fath and daughter-in-law Beth Terwilliger, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his sisters Pat Badger and Becky (John) Yungen.

His son, Mike Terwilliger, and a sister, Joanie Domanski, as well as his parents, died previously.

His impact as a husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend will be sorely missed. Comfort can be taken in the fact that he is present with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ now, and forevermore.

Calling hours will be at McIntire, Bradham and Sleek, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday, July 28 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
