Charles L. Gartner, 55, of Wooster, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Wooster Community Hospital.

He was born on June 18, 1968 in Chillicothe the son of Michael T. and Donna McGuire Gartner.

Charles worked as a machine operator at Tahoma Engineered Solutions.  He loved helping others and will be remembered for his huge heart, kindness, and being a friend to many.

Surviving are his sons James Gartner and Adam Gartner; sisters Michelle Finley, Ashley Gartner, Amy Crockett, Sharon Ray, Mickey Brokaw, and Christy Perry; brothers Thomas Papineau and Michael Gartner; Stepmother Brenda Matson who helped raise him from a very young age; and “Special Brother” Tim Goebel.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents.

A “Gathering of Friends” will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the McIntire, Bradham, Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
