  2. I have lots of memories from when he was little. One Christmas I got him a weasel from Cracker Barrel. I wrapped it in the on position.

    It scared him so bad when he opened it. It started moving. He was the quietest nephew I had. I love him even though I hardly ever got to see him. Mostly at family functions. RIP Nephew!

  7. Mom we are having a tribute board poster printed off today. Jeff can have it made for twenty bucks . I’ll send you the pic of it. Jeff is almost done. Here’s my favorite poem by Robert Frost called “ Nothing Gold Can Stay!” It was used in the movie the outsiders when pony boy (played by Ralph macho ) dies! I read that book in junior high school! Anyways here it is.
    I’m Eric’s mom! My fiancé Jeff and I are having a tribute board made for Eric’s calling hours! We are using my favorite poem by Robert frost from the book “the outsiders” that I read in junior High School and watched the movie and they read this when Pony Boy (played by Ralph Machio) dies! It’s a gorgeous poem with great imagery and I always loved it!

    NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY
    Nature’s first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold.
    Her early leaf’s a flower;
    But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief,
    So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay.

  10. Sorry I got a fact wrong in my last post. Ralph machio does not play Pony boy In the outsiders . C. Thomas Howell plays pony boy! But for those who read the book when it came out the Title was “Rumble Fish!” The outsiders was the name of the movie! Anyways, the poem by Robert frost is epic and the reality is that my son was just too beautiful to hold here in this world any longer! My grief is sometimes too much to bare but thank you to all who are contacting me and sharing stories about Eric and pictures and giving condolences ! You all mean the world to me right now !thank you !
