Noel C. Imhoff, 91, of Wooster passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Wayne County Care Center.
He was born June 16, 1932, in Wayne County, Ohio, the son of Benjamin and Esther Reichert Imhoff. On April 23, 1973, he married Janis M. Nickle Still. She survives.
Noel served his country proudly with the U.S. Army. During a training maneuver, Noel suffered an injury that unfortunately kept him from serving overseas. During his time in the service, he did earn two medals. In his early life he spent time living in Texas and Colorado, but eventually returned home to Wooster to work at the family business, Imhoff & Long. Noel also assisted his father in building homes and barns in the Wayne County area. Later, he spent many years working at Metro Media Technologies in Wooster. His position as a draftsman gave him the opportunity to travel the world to set up machines at partnering companies. Noel was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling in leagues at Wayne Lanes. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife traveling and going to auctions. Noel was a member of the Wayneaires Barbershop Chorus and had also sung with several quartets through the years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Gary (Janey) Still of Wooster, Gregory Still of Creston, Laurie Hall of Dalton, and Gail (Anthony Perry) Still of Columbus; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Noel was preceded in death by a sister Juanita Imhoff Gerber; and his stepmother Genevieve Imhoff.
A committal service with military honors will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 10:45AM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, OH 44273.

I was so saddened to hear of Noel’s passing. I worked with him at Metro Media. He was such a hard worker and a pleasant gentleman to work with. He was one of my favorite people in the R&D Department. My sympathy to Noel’s family.
For many years I knew of Noel and knew we were related, but only met him within in the last 20 years at local auctions. Our condolences to his family, especially to Janis.
