  5. What a lady – we became good friends when I moved to Wooster about 8 years ago. During the three years I lived there we had many good times, talks and adventures. She loved animals and watched my dog a few times. She loved whipping up a meal – always so delicious with a salad, some main dish and a tasty dessert. When she and Anthony visited me last summer in Asheville, NC she came with a wonderful cheesecake type coffee cake (which everyone I have made it for raves about), some Christmas kitchen towels and an Aloe plant. Her hands were never empty – her heart was always full. She was a texter and I’d usually get a sweet message with an emoji of some sort – have a great week, enjoy your day, thinking of you. So nice. Chris was a giver – always thinking of others, so generous and helpful, sincere and resilient in spite of all her medical challenges. We talked about life’s mysteries and pain. And, yes, we bitched and laughed, too. She inspires me to be a better friend. Thank you for being mine, Chris.

Until we met again, I will cherish our friendship, the amazing friends you have shared with me and the great memories we have made. We should all live the Chris legacy and be kind, caring of all and always making memories. Life is so unfair as we all clearly see here but my friend is now at peace and starting a fantastic new adventure as a free mind, body and spirit. This was one beautiful soul that has been taken from this Earth but can live on through each of us!

  14. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Christine. While I only knew her for about 2 years, you could see her love for others and open arms of friendship. We met at Yin Yoga during a time my husband and brother were fighting cancer. She was quick with hugs, empathy and listening ear. She told me she loved the white bench that sits under my maple and pine tree in English ivy. This is where she told me she would love to spend time enjoying the seasons. She did not get the chance to enjoy the sanctuary of space but as I gaze at my bench throughout the year it will be known to me as Christine’s haven and I will never forget her gift of friendship. May the peace of all understanding be with you now and forever.
