R. Keith Dreibelbis, 81 went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2024. Keith was born on October 29, 1942, to Charles David and Mildred Inita (Neiswinter) in Ashland, Ohio. He married the love of his life, Joyceanne Maxwell on June 17, 1966, spending 58 wonderful years together.  She survives.

Keith was a 1960 graduate of Northwestern High School.  He received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Navy in November 1965 where he served as an aviation electrician.  While in Kent after marriage, he worked as a lineman for Ohio Power and then began his career as an insurance agent.  After moving to Wooster in 1969, he was a self-employed life and health insurance agent at the Taylor Agency until retirement.  Keith was an avid golfer, winning many club championships at Mohican Hills Golf Course and trophies at various other courses in Ashland and Wayne counties.

Keith was a member of Parkview Christian Church in Wooster, where he served as a Deacon for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife, his brother Ronald Dreibelbis of Deland, Florida, sister Raelene (Gary) Miner of Wooster, and many nieces and nephews, and friends.

Friends will be received on Monday, July 22, 2024, from 11:00-1:00 at Parkview Christian Church 1912 Burbank Rd., Wooster.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00.  Burial to follow at Reedsburg Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1161 Mechanicsburg Rd. Wooster, OH 44691, Parkview Christian Church, or a charity of choice.

  16. Sorry to hear of Keith’s passing. His mother was my baby sitter early in my life while living in West Salem. Spent many hours on the golf course with Keith and have some memorable memories of our time together. He will be missed, may he RIP

  19. I’m very sorry to hear of Keith’s passing. My family attended Parkview for many years and I grew up in that church. I’ll always remember Keith as a deacon at church. He was in charge of getting servers lined up for communion and offering. Every time I walked in and he saw me, he’d point to me and ask, “Can you serve?” I never turned him down. I learned from him that it was an honor to serve in the local church and no job was beneath anyone. Now that I’m a deacon at the church I attend, I always think of him when I have to line up people to serve.
