Ronald Dean Elliott, 81, of Woster, Ohio, passed away July 16, 2024, surrounded by family.
Born February 19, 1943, in Mt. Vernon to Kenneth L. and Mary G. (Clark) Elliott, he was second born after graciously allowing his older twin to go out first.
After graduating from Smithville High School in 1961, he joined the U.S. Army for three years. After serving his country, he went on to graduate from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Ron worked for Wayne County National Bank as an internal Auditor from 1970 until he retired in 2003. He was a charter member of the Wooster Exchange Club founded in 1973 and has been a member ever since.
Ron married Phyllis Smith on August 26, 1967, and they have been dating for over 58 years!
He loved traveling out west, camping, hunting, fishing, the outdoors, gardening, golfing with his brother and longtime friends, and woodworking.
Surviving, in addition to Phyllis, are his daughter Elizabeth Elliott of Wooster, son Douglas (Christena) Elliott of Danville; four grandchildren, and a brother Bruce (Jan) Elliott of Arizona.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents (1985 & 2023) and his twin brother Donald (2019).
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at 4:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.

Ron was a great man and we are privileged that he is our daughter’s father-in-law. He will be greatly missed.
