Rebecca June Easterday, 77, of Wooster died on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at West View Healthy Living.

She was born August 26, 1946 in Wadsworth to Nicholas and Mildred Bauman Marcovechio.  On July 3, 1965, she married Kenny R. Easterday.  He preceded her in death in 2021.

Rebecca had worked for several retail clothing stores as a manager and as an AVON lady for many years.  She was always all about “the bling” and enjoyed her jewelry.  She loved her time when she lived in Jacksonville, FL and interacting with all of her customers and the people she worked with over the years.

She is survived by her daughters Kerri (Chris) Slayton of Orrville and Kristen Easterday of Wooster; grandchildren Katy Slayton, Nick Slayton, Kylee Shook and Makayla Shook.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 2:45 PM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville where she will be inurned with Kenny.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

Contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.

  1. So sorry to see of June’s passing. Always enjoyed seeing her and several times enjoyed a meal out with her.

  2. Rebecca was a delightful lady. She always had a smile on and had a great spirit about her. We called each other “RJ”. I will surely miss her.

  3. Although I haven’t seen Rebecca since she graduated from high school, I have fond memories of her from my childhood. She lived one street up from me and we used to ride bikes with all the neighborhood kids.

    My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends as they grieve the loss of Rebecca.
