Mildred Louise Casey, 72, of Wooster passed away Sunday August 11 2024 at Cleveland Clinic after an extended illness.
She was born on August 21, 1951 in Wooster, Ohio to Howard and Ellen Grosjean Wolgamott. She married Mark Alan Casey on February 14, 1981. He survives.
Mildred was a 1969 graduate of West Holmes High School and a 1973 graduate from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Zoology. Mildred was employed at OARDC for over 30 years. She enjoyed photography where she participated in international competitions and was always searching for the perfect sunset. Mildred enjoyed camping, hiking, walking her dogs, spinning, weaving, knitting and crocheting, reading and gardening where she was a member of Ripley Gardeners Garden Club.
In addition to her husband Mark, she is survived by her children Zachary (Julie) Casey, Joshua (Megan Kania) Casey, Dr. Katrina (Jason) Williams; grandchildren Connor Williams, Ariel Duffey, Jared Duffey, Dustin (Emily) Duffey; great grandchild Jenson Duffey; siblings Hazel Taft, Stan (Jill) Casey, Nora (Richard) Wineland; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Harold Wolgamott; brother-in-law Charles Taft; sister-in-law Karen Wolgamott; niece Heidi Wineland and great nephew Ben Wolgamott.
