Carole J. Reich, 83 of Wooster went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 20, 1940, to the late Williard and Opal (Crites) Mays.

Carole graduated from Wooster High School and went on to marry the love of her life, Howard W. Reich in 1959. They were blessed with 63 years together and had three children. She was a member of Grace Church in Wooster.

Besides being a homemaker, Carole had a career in retail. She worked for many years at Brenner Bros. where she would greet everyone with a smile. She also worked at Yum Yum Tree Candy Store and went on to work at The Clothing Warehouse before retiring.

Carole was a very loving, outgoing person with an infectious laugh. She loved doing crafts and entertaining in her home. She especially loved volunteering at her church. She always decorated tables at the Holiday Extravaganza and decorated for Women’s Day Away. She volunteered her time in the nursery during Women’s Bible Studies. Her biggest joy in life was her family. Carole loved her grandchildren, and they all adored her. She was always there to babysit and spend time with them. She taught all of us the importance of a loving relationship. Carole loved God and her family with her whole heart. She loved spending time with her husband, Howard, and their children. They were a great example of a beautiful loving marriage still holding hands until Howard’s passing on November 16, 2022.

Carole is survived by her three children, Cheryl (Steve) Wahl of North Canton, Christy (Stan) Argabrite of Wooster, and Rodney (Angela) Reich of Apple Creek. Many wonderful grandchildren:  Sarah (Kevin) Long, Adam McClintock, Andrew Uitto, Matthew (Lonna) Uitto, Erin McClintock, Hunter, Connor and Parker Reich, Shane (Cheyenne) Argabrite and Liana (Nate) Robinson. Great Grandchildren:  Aiden Cross, Lexi, Madelyn and Olivia Long, Braxton and Austin McClintock, Gabriel Uitto, Claire Uitto, Everett Argabrite, and Ryder and Reece Robinson.

She is also survived by her sisters, Diane (John) Schrock of Smithville, and Judy Rutter of Wooster and many nieces and nephews.

Carole was preceded in death by her husband, Howard W. Reich, parents, Williard and Opal (Crites) Mays, sister, Shirley Stillwagner and Brother-in-law, Richard Rutter. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and all who were blessed to have her in their lives.
