Rachel M. Conrad, 82, of Wooster passed away on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024 at her home.
She was born May 5, 1942 in Wooster, Ohio the daughter of John P. and Antoinette Massaro Grande. On January 31, 1965 she married Joe A. Conrad who preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 2021.
Rachel did data entry and was a supervisor for Babcock & Wilcox for 23 years before retiring in 1992.
She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wooster, and loved gardening, baking, playing games on her computer and spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.
Rachel is survived by her daughter, Michelle Hutchison of Wooster; grandchildren Dechelle (Chris McNichols) Bishop of Wooster, Nicole (Devan Davis) Hutchison of Orrville, and Sebastian Hutchison of Wooster; great grandchildren Peyton Pearson, Blake Bishop, Camden Bishop, Caleb Sobchik, Myah Davis, Keilani Davis, Audrina Woofter, Kaia Davis, and Jaelyn Purdy.; four sisters Coletta Baldridge of Lafayette, Louisiana, Diane Martens of Celina, Ohio, Adrienne Withrow, of Wooster and Marilyn Raby of Wooster; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and her canine companion Ruger.
Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and siblings Eugene Grande, Philomena Wright, Patricia Frontz, John Grande, Francis Grande, George Grande, Loretta Harsh, and Jeanine Wilson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, Sept 13, 2024 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster, Ohio 44691 with Father Stephen Moran officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday September 12, 2024 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster, Ohio 44691.
