Cotta Jane Bosley, 80, of Marshallville passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 at her residence.

She was born on March 19, 1944, in Wooster to Mike and Cotta McCoy Davis.

Cotta worked at group home as an aide and had previously had her own cleaning business.  She loved animals especially her cat Miss Annie, loved fishing on Lake Erie, and the outdoors.  Cotta will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor.

She is survived by her son Tad Bosley; brother Timothy Davis and grandson Zachary Bosley.

Cotta is preceded in death by her parents, a son Michael Bosley and brother William Davis.

There will be no services.  McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the funeral home to help defray expenses.

  1. Tad and Zachary, I am so saddened of the passing of your mother and grandmother. We have so many fun memories to hold on to. She was a lovely person and loved her family so much. Prayers for peace as you navigate without your mom.

  2. Tad, my heart breaks for you and Zach, she was one of a kind. I just lost my dad, a few weeks ago. I hope Mitch is handling your mom’s service, he’s the best, he truly knows how difficult these situation can be, he’s compassionate, empathetic and will look after you and other’s during the grieving process. Stay clear of Chris Bradham, he lacks the qualities that Mitch has . God Bless

  5. We are so sorry to hear about your loss. Cotta Jane was always fun to talk to because she had great stories to tell! Tad, you were a great example of being a supportive son. I know you and Zach will miss her but you can be sure she knew that you loved her. Blessings to you during this difficult time.

  6. It’s been so long since I have seen Cotta, but she crosses my mind often. My mom, Karen and Cotta used to work together and were dear friends. Cotta was one of a kind and had the greatest sense of humor. Condolences to her friends and family. She will be missed.

  7. I’m so sorry for your loss. I was Cottas aid years ago when she lived at Secrest Village Apts. Loved her. Such a sweet lady.
