So sorry to hear about Rod. He and I were very close at one time. Rod was seven years younger than me but I remember him as a youngster when he was growing up on Catherine Street across from my grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousins. The last time I talked to him at the Elk’s he reminded me how we ate cherries all day sitting in my Grandparents cherry tree. We played a lot of tennis, racket ball, softball and golf together in our later years. Goodbye old friend. May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
A great classmate sorry for your loss ❤️
Sorry to hear. We were very close at one time. I laugh when I hear the eating cherries in Frank’s tree. We played a lot of ‘ball’ together. Gonna miss Cozzie!
So sad to hear about Rod’s passing. He was a classmate at
St. Mary’s School and Wooster High. Great guy, fun and kind.
Peace and love to the family and many friends.

So sorry to hear of Rod’s passing. What a great and fun guy. Played a lot of baseball with him. His big smile will be missed. May God bless his family.
I am so sorry to hear about Rod’s passing. We were friends and classmates at St. Mary’s and Wooster High. I saw him several years ago at a class reunion, and we laughed our heads off about our childhoods. What a great man! He will be missed. My prayers and condolences to the entire family. Peace.
So sorry to hear of Rods passing. A great classmate and friend of Wooster Elks. RIP ROD
Rod will be missed, but the great memories of his humor and putting smiles on other’s faces will always be there. We’ll miss you Rod and love you dearly. Our prayers and sympathy to his beloved family and very close friends.
I am saddened to hear of Rod’s passing. He was a great classmate and one heck of a second baseman on the undefeated American Legion Little League team. It’s getting harder to imagine all the time that has passed, and now we face the passing of friends. I’d say God be with you, but now you’re with him. Bless you my friend.
I Am so sad to hear of Rod’s passing. Not only did l consider him a friend but, a real paisani. Someone who shared more than friendship. We shared a culture, a village where I grandparents were born, catholic and public schooling, an Italian neighborhood, and a love for making and eating Italian food. A long time ago, before he was married, he dated one of my best friends. She said, he treated her with so much love and respect, she felt like a Princess when she was with him. He was the BEST!!!!!
When I think of Rod, I can’t help but remember our not-so-excellent adventure out west when we were stopped in a police roadblock, suspected of murdering someone in Winslow. Luckily, we hadn’t been to Winslow and didn’t match the description of the get-aways. I’ll miss you, old buddy.
Saddened by the loss of a great friend. We met at the Lamplighter club in the 80’s when he was manager and have been friends since. We golfed together, played cards, ran golf outings, and too many things to list.
If you needed help, he was there. He always had time to listen, offer help however he could. He always asked how my parents were every time he saw me. I will miss him. Rest in heavenly peace my friend.
Thoughts and prayers to all his family 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Sorry to hear of Rod’s passing. I hadn’t seen him in many years, but remember him as such a nice guy. When I think of him, I recall some beautiful wall hangings we got from him, years and years ago. Condolences to his family.
Very sad to hear about the passing of Rod. We had some good conversations about life in general. Will definitely miss my fellow classmate! My sympathies to his wife Meredith and family. Godspeed Rod!

This is October 22nd and I just found out my old buddy Rod passed away. He and I shared a lot of good times. We work together. We partied together. He rented from me and we did a lot of crazy things together. Rod can fix most anything when he wanted to. Haven’t just received a great great mechanic.
Meredith and family,
Rod was always fun to talk with. He made you smile. He was kind and would listen. So sorry for your loss. May God give you the grace and strength to get through this loss. Prayers for you Meredith , Adam, Nick, Rod’s sister Pam and brother Jerry.
My condolences to Pam , Jerry and all of Rods family. May he rest in peace
Sorry for your loss. I have known Rodney for many years. We lived close to each other growing up and went to Pittsburg avenue school together. It was such a tight knight community doing ever for anyone who needed help. He was such a nice person. Janet May Morris
I left Wooster in 1969 returning periodically to visit family. Rodney is four years my junior but my brother Sam’s age. We knew each other through St Mary’s church and school plus we lived in same neighborhood. Rodney was everyone’s buddy. Always fun to be around. Enjoyed playing neighborhood sandlot baseball with him and took notice of how gifted a baseball player he was. He was a kind, friendly and compassionate boy and remained, according to above comments, the same as a man. God bless him and his survivors. He’s a fine addition to Heaven’s baseball team.
We are so sorry to hear about Rod passing on to a better place. All of you are in our prayers and may God grant the family peace and comfort at this very difficult time.
Healthy living is a slow form of dying. I remember these same words from Rod as a young 20 year old girl.
Slow and steady might win the race but what fun is that?
Sending hugs to all.
