Karen Rowe, 73 passed away at her home surrounded by her husband, daughter, and her 2 granddaughters after rapidly declining health on Saturday, November 2, 2024.

She was born on July 8, 1951, in Coshocton to LeRoy and Madelon Longstreth Muller.  She attended Triway High School and was a graduate of Wooster Beauty College.  Karen married the love of her life Roger Rowe on November 23, 1968.

After being a beautician, she chose to be a stay-at-home mom raising her children, babysitting for others, volunteering at Parkview Elementary in many capacities and being a girl scout leader.  She later worked for Sally Beauty Supply, then Wooster City Schools as a crossing guard and the cafeteria.  She retired in 2012.

Karen was a breast cancer survivor.  She loved spending time with her family, Friday outings and monthly lunch with life long friends.

She is survived by her husband, Roger; a daughter Jody (Ron) Rule; a son Gary (Becca) Rowe; grandchildren Justin (Cortney) Wilson, Jaimie (Randall) Hildebrand, Brea (Justin) Graham, Jon (Veronica) Wilson, and Jeremy Wilson; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother Hal Muller; many nieces and nephews; and special friends Sandy Case, Dianne Varnes, Mary Blevins, Vic Cole.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Elsie Miles and Elenor Ford.

Friends may call on Saturday from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral services to be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 1:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.  Burial to follow at Wooster Cemetery.

  9. We were sorry to read about the passing of Karen. Her and I spent many hours sitting together watching her Gary and my Andy play high school baseball. We had some great times together.
