Geraldine Gaudish Murray
October 27, 1931 – November 3, 2024

Geraldine “Gerry” Murray, beloved wife, sister, aunt, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on November 3rd at the age of 93. Born in Munhall, Pennsylvania, on October 27, 1931, she graduated from Homestead High School in 1949 and later attended a local community college.

Gerry was the devoted daughter of Harry and Anna (née Moscovics) Gaudish and the loving sister of Harry Gaudish, all of whom preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her husband, Robert Murray, whom she married in 1967. Together, they shared 31 years of marriage.

During her early career, Gerry worked as a secretary for Duquesne Light Company in Pittsburgh before being promoted to Senior Clerk for Equipment Efficiency. In 1960, she relocated to Pasadena, California, where she worked for several companies, including Honeywell and Physical Sciences, making significant contributions in each role.

Gerry and Bob’s sense of adventure led them to spend five years working as skippers and crew on private yachts along the Pacific Coast, from Los Angeles to Guadalajara, Mexico. In 1978, they founded Ardemco, a business specializing in boat maintenance and supply.

In 1988, the couple moved to Wooster, Ohio, where Gerry became an active member of the community. She worked for the 1990 Census, People to People Ministries, and volunteered for Meals Together. A devoted member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, Gerry’s commitment to service and faith was evident in all she did. She was always ready to share a cup of tea with a friend and was passionate about reading, gardening, and playing cards.

Gerry is survived by her stepson, David Murray, of Wyoming; her sister-in-law, Sandra Gaudish (wife of Harry) and niece, Susan Gaudish Bell, both of Butler, Pennsylvania; and her nephew, Richard Gaudish and his wife Mary, of McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Gerry will also be dearly missed by many close friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 527 Beall Ave. Wooster, on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 12:30 PM.  Inurnment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours.
