Carol Jean Caler, 78, of Wooster passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.
She was born on February 16, 1946, in Dover, New Jersey to Willard and Ethal Houser Anderson. On January 5, 1991, she married Steven Caler. He survives.
Carol was a material planner supervisor at Murata Erie in Pennsylvania. She loved playing board games with Steve, went to world board gaming championships for many years where she won some tournaments. Carol also loved needlepoint, reading, knitting, travel, and bus trips. Carol was active in Zion Lutheran Church.
In addition to her husband Steven, she is survived by her children Eric Schneider of Orrville and Patrick Schneider of Virginia; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; brother Richard Anderson; first husband Charles Schneider.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 301 N. Market St., Wooster with Pastor Marty Jacobson officiating. Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the church.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
