Valerie Marie Ison, 70, of Wooster died on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at her home.

She was born June 1, 1950 in Pittsburgh, PA to Frank II and Mary Gloria Stott Louis.  On November 28 1976, she married Jeffrey Lee Ison, Sr.  He preceded her in death.

Valerie had worked for many years at Bell + Howell as a machine operator, then had worked as a server at Henry Station and most currently was working at The Cat’s Meow.  She loved to read, craft, sew, thrift and play Bingo.  At Christmas time, she loved to go shopping to overindulge her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Gloria Morris of Wooster, Shalyn (Christofer) Bell of Woster, Julie (Jim) Murray of Rittman and Jeffrey L. (Sarah) Ison, Jr., of Wooster; grandchildren Jacob Myers, Krista Myers, Luke (Cindy) Myers, Patience (Christian) Walker, Christofer Bell, Jr., Cherish Bell, Nylahs Bell, Ares Bell, Lily Daugherty, Aubree Ison Gabriel Ison, Briana Ison and Mira Ison; four great-grandchildren; siblings Mark (Sue) Louis, Shawn Seng, Terry Seng, Sharon Seng, Roxanne Seng, Richard Louis, Alex Louis and Theresa Tibby.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 12:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
