Sally Kay Puntel, 85, of Wooster passed away November 11, 2024, at her residence.

She was born on May 28, 1939, in Akron, Ohio to Alba Marlowe and Catharine Adella Martin Honeywell.  In August 1989, she married Kenneth R. Puntel.  He survives.

Sally worked as a transportation secretary specialist for various trucking companies.  She enjoyed painting and had a love of horses.  Sally was a member of the Wayne County Watercolor Guild.

In addition to her husband Kenneth, she is survived by her children Mitchell (Donna Shelley) Dunasky of Dunedin, FL, Michael (Barbara Shapiro) Dunasky of Fairlawn; grandchild Michael Ickes; sister Susan (Glenn) Rand of Seville; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Alba Martin Honeywell.

There will be no services at this time.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  1. Sally and I have been friends since fifth grade. She was a warm, caring, loving person with a wonderful laugh. I’ll miss her.
