Bruce Walter Huebner, 79, of Wooster passed away Wednesday November 20, 2024 at West View Healthy Living.

He was born on April 19, 1945 in Lodi to Fred and Phyllis Cullen Huebner.  On April 17 1971 he married Connie Tucker.  She survives.

Bruce proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He worked for 38 years at Rexroth where he programmed robotic machinery.  Bruce enjoyed woodworking, making beautiful furniture, and stained glass. Bruce was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity for 10 years where he served on the building committee.  He enjoyed Sudoku word searches.  He was always happy and joking around.

In addition to his wife, Connie, he is survived by a daughter Karen (Johnny) Baughan of Shreve; grandson Jacob Huebner; daughter in law Deb Mendenhall of Wooster; 1 brother and 1 sister.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Thom Huebner.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 1:00 PM at McIntire Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating.  Burial to follow in Prairie Township Cemetery.

Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 2700 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all the nurses at West View Healthy Living for all the care they gave Bruce.

  3. My thoughts and prayers goes to the entire Huebner family. I worked with Bruce for over 30 years at Rexroth. We had our differences and we certainly had our laughs together.

  4. Cousin Bruce. What fun we had as kids & as adults. What a good hearted, kind soul you were to your family & your community. I’ll cherish the good times together. Always a smile & quick to make us laugh. I’ll miss you. Condolences to your family, siblings and extended family who loved you. Rest in peace. ❤️.

  5. I heard alot about you when I worked with your son Thom . He had a lot of respect and love for you . Thoughts and prayers to your family for their loss and I’m sure Thom met you at the gates !
