Susan A. McDonald, 76, of Apple Creek passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

She was born on October 12, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ebersold.  On September 16, 1974, she married Duane McDonald.  He survives.

Susan worked as a registered nurse for various hospitals.  She loved gardening, knitting, crocheting and sewing.

In addition to her husband Duane, she is survived by a sister Barbara Girt of North Canton.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents.

Private family services will be held.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  1. I am so ever sorry. We were in nursing school together. We corresponded over the years and offered a few times to visit but she said she could not have not have visitors. She suffered all her life. My prayers for you and her sister

  2. Aunt Sue was such an inspiration to me. She was the epitome of strength and taught me that you must always be thankful for what you do have and never complain about the things you don’t. I aspire to be as fearless as she was in life. The pain of losing her is soothed by the fact she is no longer suffering. She is finally able to rest in peace😇
