Thomas Lee Ackerman, 72, of Shreve passed away Friday, November 29, 2024 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.
He was born on April 9, 1952, in Wooster to Frederick and Dorothy Baker Ackerman. On August 30, 1974 he married Juleah Taylor. She survives.
Thomas was a maintenance group leader for Diamonite/Cerro for almost 50 years. He retired in 2020. He enjoyed farming.
In addition to his wife Juleah, he is survived by his son Nelson (Tracie) Ackerman of Shreve; grandchild Jayden Ackerman; siblings Lloyd (Lilia) Ackerman of Wooster, Nancy (Dan) Burkhart of Wooster, Victoria (Wayne) Pruitt of Wooster, Dale Ackerman of Fredericksburg, Susan (Andy) Morris of Tennessee, James (Kathy) Ackerman of Fredericksburg, and Amy (John) Scott of Fredericksburg; sister-in-law Susan Ackerman of Wooster; many nieces and nephews; sister in law Alice (Jim) Lusko of Michigan; brother in law Timothy (Kathy) Taylor of Dalton; feline companion Peanut.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers William C. Ackerman, and Ronald Ackerman.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Moreland United Methodist Church, 138 Moreland Rd., Wooster, with Pastor Jennifer Darling-Mellott officiating. Burial to follow at Moreland Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the church.

So very sorry for your loss we all went to school together at Franklin and Triway. Tom worked with my husband Dale many years at Diamonite. Tom came from a wonderful family and caring for each other and the community. He will be greatly missed by all. May God Bless this family.
