“Together Again”
Janet Eileen Miller, 87, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024 at The Avenue of Wooster.
She was born June 15, 1937 in Lodi to Ray and Edna Shriver Mairs. On September 10, 1955, she married Marion L. Miller. He preceded her in death in 2018.
Janet had worked for Dari-Land as a candy maker for 15 years and had also worked at Collins & Aikman in Holmesville for many years. She was a long time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She loved to sew, bake (and her house always smelled of wonderful baked goods), going to the casinos with Marion and her good friend Pat. Janet loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was always willing to bake something for the church and lend a helping hand.
She is survived by her children Leo (Sue) Miller of Wooster, Sherrie (Anthony) Rippy of TN, Michael Miller of Wooster, Diane (Kyle) Conner of Shreve, Greg “Tiger” Miller, Jeff Miller and Tim (Dora) Miller all of Wooster; 18 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Kathy Miller of Wooster; sisters-in-law Carol Mairs and Jean Phillips both of Wooster and her good friend Pat Jenkins of Wooster.
Along with her husband, Janet was preceded in death by her parents; son Brad Miller; daughter-in-law Pam Miller; siblings Max and Neal Mairs and Shirley McDowell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with Rev. Stephen Moran as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 5:00-7:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
