Frank Keith Butler, 68, of Wooster died on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born May 4, 1956, in Mt. Vernon to William Robert and Martha Jean Calkins Butler, Sr.  On March 19, 1999, he married Brenda Lint who was his everything.

Frank retired from ArtiFlex after 21 years as an overhead crane operator.  He had also worked for Stahl for over 15 years.  Frank also had Frank’s Salvage Hauling.  He enjoyed treasure hunting with his metal detector, collecting coins and metal memorabilia, golfing, pool, hunting mushrooms, hiking, fishing, camping, canoeing.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; children Michael K. Moore of Orrville, Jeremy L. Butler of Wooster, Amy S. Butler of Wooster, James E. Butler of Massillon, Dusty L. (Crystal) Stroud of Lakeville and Frank E. Butler of Wooster; many grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister Lilly Butler Nester Fidler; brother Loren D. Butler; half siblings Terry A. Simmerman, Mary V. Verity, Roxanne Bell, Christy M. Weaver, Tammy Butler, William A. Butler and Tammy Smith along with many nieces and nephews.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother Lillian M. Parish Butler; stepfather Dean Simmerman; stepsisters Karen S. Hatfield and Carol A. Cyrus.

Private graveside services were held in Fairview Cemetery in Shreve.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster assisted the family.

Frank’s hope was that each and every individual in the world observes and appreciates and respects the wonderous glories God has bestowed to humanity.

    My heart goes out to you and your family. Sending our deepest sympathy. I remember when you guys came to a family gathering when we lived in Ashland in the country. We had enjoyed you all being there and that he had worked with Tom and Micah. Frank will.be deary miss by everyone. We have a wonderful future in seeing our loved ones again. Isaiah 25:8.
