John “Jack” William Wood, 77, of Wooster passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Westview Healthy Living.

He was born on September 13, 1947, in New York City, NY to John William and Anne Doris Armstrong Wood.

Jack proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 7 ½ years.  He worked at Diamond Mind Baseball as a researcher.  He was an avid golfer, pickleball player and enjoyed playing volleyball, softball and basketball.  Jack was a San Francisco Giants fan and College of Wooster basketball fan.

He is survived by brother James Wood of Intervale, NH and sister Donna Joe of Marietta, GA.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service will be Friday, February 21, 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, Ohio 44273.
