Nevin C. Dye Sr., 82, of Apple Creek passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at his residence.

He was born on December 9, 1942, in Apple Creek to Elmer and Vida Mooser Dye.  On October 22, 1971, he married Barbara McVey.  She preceded him in death.

Nevin was a heavy equipment operator at Rupp Construction and also delivered the Akron Beacon Journal and Wooster Daily Record.  Nevin loved hunting, working on cars and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son Nevin C. (Trisha Norman) Dye Jr. of Orrville; stepchildren Betina Miller of Wooster and Malinda Bruce of Wooster; fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Barbara, he was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Donna Hidue, Elmer Dye Jr., Charlie Dye Gary Dye, Robert Dye, Tommy Dye and twins Ronald and Donald Dye; stepchildren Karen Fisher and Bonnie J. Billheimer.

A private family services will be held at a later date.  McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
