“Together Again”

Linda Jeanne Kota, 82, of Wooster, passed away peacefully in her home after a brief period of illness on Thursday, April 24, 2025. She was born on January 16, 1943 and raised in Wooster. She traveled extensively as a flight attendant before raising her family. She lived between Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania before finally returning home later in life. She was a true daughter of Wooster and seemed to know everyone intimately; the city now feels dim without her light.

She is survived by her two sons Ryan and Marc (Shannon) Dombrosky; stepchildren Jeff (Amy) Kota and Brian Kota and their families, sister Patricia Finn; sister-in-law Sue Flesher; nieces and nephews Scott (Robin) Finn, Steve (Jolene) Finn, Lori (Mark), Pam (Rob), Mike, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Rosellen Stearns Flesher, husband James Kota and brother Larry Flesher.

It was Linda’s wishes that there be no services.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  6. Linda was a good neighbor. Could always make her laugh. She shared some stories about being a flight attendant and as a majorette in the Wooster High School Band. Same year as my Aunt Jeannie. Will miss seeing her across the street.
