Timothy Glenn Rettig, 70, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Orrville Skilled Nursing.
He was born on May 16, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri to Glenn and Ruth Imhof Rettig. On August 1, 1987, he married Chris Keck.
Timothy retired in 2019 from Gerstenslager/ Artifex after 35 years. He enjoyed bowling, watching NASCAR, Star Trek and NCIS, he was an avid Michigan fan. Timothy enjoyed traveling to many different places with his wife. His final gift was the donation of his body to science through the Cleveland Clinic.
He is survived by his wife Chris, and children Heather (Dean) Cropp of Wooster, Erica (Scott) Schonauer of Holmesville, Leslie (Doug) Rettig of Wooster, Jeffrey (Lindsay) Rettig of Orrville, and Heidi (Michael) Gallion of Orrville; thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother Dan (Sherri) Rettig of Wooster.
Timothy was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Bo Schonauer; siblings Beth Goebels, Judy Goodman, and Art Rettig.
A Memorial Service to be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Hillside Church 137 County Road 1302, Rowsburg, Ohio 44866 with Pastor Mike Feliciano officiating.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Alzheimer Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.

Tim’s father, Glenn Rettig, served as pastor at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Port Washington, Ohio, when I was just a youngster. His family was very dear to me. Though I lost touch with Tim, I have never forgot how much fun we had as kids! Keeping Tim’s family in prayer and holding on to fond childhood memories, may he find peace and rest in the arms of the Lord.
Chris, Erica, Jeff, I’m so sorry to hear of Tim’s passing. I remember the times Tim cleaned at Westhill and we would talk. Sweet memories. May our Lord uphold you in this time of grief.
