Edward Phillip Knight, 50, of Wooster passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Smithville Western Care Center.
He was born January 11, 1975, in Wooster to Gerald and Kathleen Olen Knight.
Edward worked as a laborer at Walmart. He enjoyed gaming online, basketball, posting on social media, and was an avid Wooster Generals fan. Edward graduated from Wooster High School in 1995.
He is survived by his father Gerald Knight; children Ashley Laird and Sabrina Marty; grandchild Jack; siblings Jennifer Knight and John Paul Knight; aunt Deborah (Greg) Stype.
Edward was preceded in death by his mother Kathleen Olen Knight; and a son Edward Phillip Knight Jr.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 1:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Rev. Dr. Kevan Franklin officiating.
Friends will be received from 11:00 to 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.

You are a great friend we had a lot of good times together. I wasn’t a gamer but we had a lot of talks and just being silly especially at breakfast time you’re going to be missed big guy.

There are so many things I could say about our time together Edward, but I won’t. I will miss the phone calls on nights when you were so upset and needed someone to talk. Someone who you thought could talk you down when you very mad about something you thought only, I had the answers too. I’ll also miss playing on the same basketball and softball team together like we did for the Nick Amster Special Olympics teams. I know that you are now EJ and your mom; Pat and I will miss you when we celebrate our 20th Anniversary in November, but we know your in a better a place, we’ll miss you a lot Tops but we know we’ll see you again someday. sorry for your loss Gerald, Jenny, JP and the rest of the family.
