Donald James Gary, 69, of Wooster passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Wooster Community Hospital .
He was born on July 3, 1955, in Westmoreland County, PA to Donald James and Hazel Nevils Harold.
Don proudly served his country in the United States Marines from 1973 to 1976. Don had devoted love for the USMC. Don was a paint mixer for Valspar. Don loved the Cleveland Browns, Nascar, cookouts, and grilling ribs. Don could make a friend anywhere.
He is survived by his Sweetheart Tina Grandt of Wooster; son David (Tonya) Gary Frederick of Carey, Ohio; stepchildren Tammy (Jamie) Watts of Cleveland and Chrissy Green of Wooster; fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a half brother David (Valerie) Gary of Simpsonville, SC.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Lisa Landis and Cathy Harold; brother Daniel Ray Gary; and daughter Amy Neal.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Matt Devore officiating. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville will follow.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
