Carl Leonard Badger died Monday, July 28, 2025, from natural causes.  Carl was born at Lodi Hospital on December 15, 1945, to Clifford and Helen (Fair) Badger.  He was the third of five brothers.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his two older brothers, David (wife Marilyn) and James.  He is survived by his brothers Phillip (wife Bonnie) in Florence, Alabama, and John (wife Linda) of West Salem.

Carl was a graduate of Northwestern High School and a resident of Wayne County all his life. After time in the Navy, he worked at various jobs in Wayne and Ashland Counties, including as a mechanic for John Deere dealers in both counties.  The last few years he was a resident of Scenic Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center in Millersburg.  The family would like to thank the staff “family” at Scenic Pointe for their great care of Carl and for being an extended family to him.

Carl was known for his outgoing personality and Christian faith and will be missed by all. He accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior and became a member of Mohican Church of the Brethren of West Salem as a young man.  He faithfully attended Wooster First Baptist Church for several years when he moved to Wooster.  Later he became affiliated with Wooster Bible Church most recently with Joe and Karen Silvestri as pastors and David and Michelle Silvestri as associate pastors.  Later he attended St. Michael Lutheran Church at Mifflin with pastor Jean Coleman for a few years.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Pastor John Gross officiating.  Interment to follow at Apple Creek Cemetery.

Friends will be received one hour prior at the funeral home.
