Bobbie Jean Lautenschlager, 61, of Gahanna and formerly of Wooster, died on Friday, August 22, 2025 at her home.
She was born August 15, 1964 in Tillamook, OR to Sally Perrine and was raised by her great grandmother Piney and Mary and Richard Swartzentruber.
Bobbie worked for over 35 years in the Medical Coding and Billing Field where her knowledge was massive. Later on she worked for the VA with her biggest joy being helping veterans at the VA hospital and over the phone. Bobbie enjoyed spending time with her daughter, grandchildren; dog Mercedes, traveling to St. Petersburg Beach and adventures and trying new restaurants with Douglas.
Bobbie is survived by the love of her life, Douglas Lautenschlager; daughter Brittney (Ben) Martin of Shreve; grandchildren Burke Martin and Wilder Martin; brother Wesley (Maria) Robinson and sister Janet (Chris) Slith.
Private family services will be held with burial in Apple Creek Cemetery. A public Celebration of Life will be held in 2026 with the event information being shared via Facebook.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.

So sorry to hear of Bobbie’s passing. She was my Coding Instructor at Wayne County Career Center back in 2006- 2007. She was a lovely, sweet, and kind lady. Sending my sincere condolences.
It is a sad day that we lost such a special person. She will be sadly missed at the VA. She touched so many lives and helped so many veterans during her service time. She will always be remembered as a shining light with a great smile that brought joy to the room.
